I have been a customer of *** of Roswell for over 3 years now

I have been a customer of *** of Roswell for over 3 years now. I have always prepaid for the annual lawn treatment plan and have been extremely happy and satisficed with their service until this year. I have seen nothing but total disregard of service. This is the first year where my lawn has a lot of weeds growing everywhere and inspite of asking for Weedman team to come treat my lawn, there has not been any treatment done in the last month or so. They keep promising sending someone over to treat the lawn and no one shows up. They keep making excuses of the contractors not being allowed to enter our neighborhood. Even though we have had the same security protocol for last 10+ years. I had spoken to their management team last week and they promised to take care of this personally by Friday, May 13, 2022 and also promised that they will provide full refund if it is not taken care of by Friday. Friday has gone with no treatment. I have been calling the Weedman office and they keep promising to have someone call me back but I don't hear back from anyone. I need Complaintsboard.com team's intervention to get my refund in full because I need to pay more now to get my lawn fully treated and get back in the shape it was as last year.

Due to poor service for lawn weed control, I had cancelled my service and closed my account with WeedMan, 1-2 years ago.Cancelling the service and closing the account was very difficult, I had to call their offices several times, send pictures and speak with management in order to close my account. It should not have been this hard to close an account, considering I was terribly unsatisfied with their service. Last year, I requested a one-time aeration. I payed for that service upon receiving the invoice. This was 2021 I received an invoice this year for an Aeration that I did not request, nor authorize. Additionally, the Aeration has not been done. I have contacted the manager via email, to request they remove the charge, and cancel this service since it was never ordered, and not authorized by me. The manager refuses. I have stated that the Aeration has not even been performed, so removing the charge should not be a problem They continue to refuse. Please help. This is harassment, services seemed to be forced upon customers with this company. I request they remove the charge and completely remove my name and contact from their list.

Service not performed to satisfaction, blackmailed to sign up again

Service not performed to satisfaction, blackmailed to sign up again. I used them for two years and my lawn never really improved much. I paid for extra services like fertilizer and aeration, and it still didn't look great, and I had bare spots and weeds. I asked for certain chemicals (preemergent) to not be used in specific areas, and evidence showed that it happened anyway. When I had had enough, I asked multiple times for a manager to come out and help come up with a plan of action. I was promised contact with a manager, and it never happened. I cancelled. Soon after, I got a bill for my last service treatment. There is no evidence that it actually occurred, and it certainly made no difference to my lawn. I called to discuss, and was promised on two separate calls that my balance would be wiped out due to my dissatisfaction with the service. Here we are 6 months later, and I get a call from a "quality control manager" asking to get me back. He claims that he saw no notes from my prior issues, and that if I don't sign back up with them, they will take me to collections over a $55 treatment that didn't work, and may not have even happened. I got a second call from another "quality control" agent trying to get me back later in the day. He had no notes or info from the previous call.

I had been using this company for over 2 years. During that time they could not contain or kill the weeds in a 3 year old lawn. I complained numerous times and they would send someone out over an over and finally killed a lot of grass. Each time I sent payment I wrote cancel service and called to cancel. They continued to come and *** me. All I wanted was to never have this company come back again. Well now even though I cancelled service they sent $147,21 to collections. I am paying as I never have any outstanding debt. My expectations are a full refund or a minimum of 1 year of service and removal of this outrageous claim to a collections agent, I plan on giving this over to my attorney to resolve as these guys are better at trying to rip people off than provide a valid service. NEVER USE WEED MAN OF ROSWELL!

My brother worked for them. They receive free treatment of employees yard. He didn't have one so he had them treat my yard. I never signed a contract or anything. The technician called and said he would be here the next day. I asked him to mot treat my yard. He did anyway. Now I'm in collection's for something I asked them not to do. This isn't professional. This is not a company I would recommend.

Weed man automatically signed me up and performed lawn treatment I did not ask for. I returned the call alerting me of schedule treatment promptly two times and neither seemed to work as they came today. They don't seem to understand what cancel means even though it was two days prior to their services.

Fraudulent charge and no referral credit The later part of 2019 a service representative knocked on my door promoting the business showed me a few pictures and stated that they were signing new customers up and their services wouldn't start until January and any application done prior to the start date we would be charged. That sounded like a good deal so I referred a neighbor. The special they were running according to the flyer, if you refer 2 new customers your lawn treatment would be at no cost because each new referral that sign up would be $25. In January they treated my lawn and sent a bill of a treatment in 2019. I called the company to dispute this charge. I asked the representative why was I charged and my services wasn't suppose to start until 2020. I was told they had one more application for 2019. When asked about my $25 referral credit they told that was taken of the 2019 treatment. When I told them my services wasn't scheduled to start until 2020 they told me my credit was applied to that application and refuse to credit my account properly. This is not about the $25 credit it's about the integrity of the company, they refuse to admit their mistake and correct my bill. I terminated my services and I recommend others use someone else that honor what they advertise.

I cancelled my service October 20. Before this happened I had sent a payment of $261.75. The rep I spoke with when canceling my service said I did not have a balance, and the manager ***? who was helping /coaching him said I did not have any late fees or other amount due. They told me I would get a refund for the monies sent and my account would be closed. I finally received a refund January 20, 2022. February 2022, I received a letter from a debt collection agency stating I owe $26.00 for service from September 24,2021. They had a check in their possession for 4months for over $261.75, that they refunded, why wouldnt they take $26 if it was actually owed to them? I have tried multiple times to contact them, only to speak with service reps who tell me a manager will get back to me, but that never happens! I was told I did not owe any money, I do not believe I owe this money, and I think they have a very skewed business with poor customer service. I would like this matter resolved and would appreciate any help. Thank you

I have tried to contact Weed Man about my problem. Weed man will not resolved my issue or call me back. Weed man serviced my property for about a year. During the course of the service the killed my lawn.I called to stop service and they continued to send Weed Man employees out to service my property after I stopped service and they continued to charge me for services I did not want. I also sent numerous pictures of my dead lawn and no employee would call me back. I have called and called and keep being told my *** will be resolved. It hasnt. *** is who I spoke with and his phone has since been disconnected. My *** has now been turned over to collections. I am frustrated at their lack of customer service and the fact they are not taking care of my *** which they said they would. I I need help as my *** is now in collections. This business has been a nightmare to contact.

I was billed for service when I have NEVER entered into a contract with the company "WEED MAN". I was divorced last year 05 and my ex-husband had a one yea contract with the company which he cancelled after the year ended, however, the company continue one additional treatment after service was ended. I was not at home at time off service and DID NOT authorized this service. I received a *** soon after which was in my name and not my husband's name. They Illegal changed the contract to my name without my permission. Stating contract was never cancelled by my ex-husband and he only called to say I know owned the property so any further *** will be billed to me. I have asked for a contract signed by me which they cannot provide as I have never entered into a contract neither orally (which they alleges they record all calls). I would like to report this business for their illegal business practice of transferring a contract from one person to another especially since I am not married to my ex-husband at time of transfer. I have tried to resolved the issue and has yet to get a resolution. Acct.# ATLAN-0026564...Service date 14 JAN. 2022. Contract ended in October

I purchased my weed man plan in advance up front. When it was time to renew the company started texting me I told them I was moving forward. The top of the year they came out and sprrayed. I called and immediately let them know I was cancelled. He said he didn't have it and cancelled and I was told my case was resolved. We fast forward to them emailing and sending notes about payment when it was cancelled. They came back and now said it was cancelled after the person who was texting said it was cancelled. I would advise avoid this company and avoid texting them through their service bc obviously they don't keep good notes. I paid the *** because I was sick of going back and forth with their crappy customer service

I have been trying to cancel service

I have been trying to cancel service. Was unable to get through on the customer service line. Would wait for over 15 minutes and then the call was dropped. So I called a person who left a message for additional treatment services. I was able to speak to this male. He said he couldn't help me. I explained I can't get through to the customer service number and he had to assist me. He then agreed to help and stated he canceled the service for me. I was then contacted by an AR associate. Again reiterated we canceled our service and questioned service they said they provided. We assumed it was finally canceled and sent the final payment (of service we questioned even happened). They final payment was confirmed by our bank for 11/12. Then we get another invoice for a service we assumed was canceled. I spoke to De March (?) on 11/17. She said she has noted our account and the service should now be canceled. She said there was no notes in the system that I requested to cancel service. I asked for written confirmation. She took my email address and said she'd try. This is a fraudulent company. They continue to charge and we won't even be living here in a month. We have sold this home. We will not be paying any additional charges. This compliant needs resolution that my service is canceled in writing.

I canceled the service in writing on 9/17. Service was performed anyway on 9/23. I called on 9/23, was on hold for 30+ minutes. Followed the recorded suggestion to email, so I did that again reiterating that the service was canceled. I continued to be billed and disputed the charge with Weedman. After repeated calls and emails, I'm still getting no response and invoices continue to arrive with increasing late fees. I want the account balance of $76.55 credited/eliminated. Also, they continue to claim a Complaintsboard.com 'A' rating, when that is not true.

I prepaid for 7 services and only 4 services were performed. The attached continuous service agreement states "We will continue with your services year after year, unless you notify us. We try to be as paperless as possible. With that said, after each application we will email you documentation for your records about the service we just completed."I only received 4 notices of service for 2021 and never received notices for the services they listed on 4/26 (1 service) or 10/1 (2 services). The company owes a refund of the 3 services not performed. When I spoke to the company on 1/24/2022 and asked for proof of service, the manager *** stated that he did not have access to send it to me. I just want the $48.00 per service refunded to me for the 3 services not performed totaling $144.00 or the company has to show proof that the service tech was at my property on those dates.

On 12/16 Weedman trespassed and performed service on my lawn WITHOUT my knowledge or authorization. (Note: I had cancelled Weedman's services, after they destroyed my entire lawn spring of 2021. My entire lawn was replaced in September .) The chemical that Weedman applied on 12/16 caused damage to the lawn, again. I spoke with their office on 12/16, as to why they were on my property without my authorization. ***, acknowledged that it was in error on their part, as he did not know why technicians were dispatched to my property, as services were cancelled, in their system. My concerns were discussed, and *** advised me to let him know, if I saw any changes in the lawn. I have made numerous attempts to contact ***, to advise him of such changes (damages); however, he would never take or return any of my phone calls.

On September 23 Weedman serviced my lawn

On September 23 Weedman serviced my lawn. I received a *** indicating there were two services performed on that day and due to there being 2 services I had to pay double the $90 service rate. I called and confirmed that there was only one visit, but they had said that two services were performed. I had never agreed to one visit being $180. After speaking with Weedman, I sent them final payment. They cashed the check for the agreed up upon rate of $90 per visit/ service. Check said final payment/ paid in full. I then received a *** indicating an outstanding balance was due. I called them and informed them that my account had been settled and closed. I then received a call from a manager and requested that future communication be in writing and ended the call. After receiving another *** I reached out to customer service and they emailed back and said the only way to resolve the issue was to speak to a manager and that since I hung up on the manager the issue could not be resolved. I called the manager and left a message. He emailed me back and said that if I would consider weedman again he could take care of the balance they show I owed. I told him, I would consider using weedman in the future, but at this time there will be no further service. I received another *** threatening collection on 12/20...

On September 15th it was brought to our attention that weedman apparently showed up to provide a service for our lawn. We later viewed our security camera showing that the service was done on our neighbors lawn. On the 30th they came back to service our lawn and was charged in addition to the 1st service. We prepaid for the whole year so no *** should have been sent. When a *** was received we contacted them stating that we never received this service that it was our neighbor and provided the video footage as well. Now it is 2 months later nothing has been resolved. In fact we received another *** stating our payment is 45 days past due. We have been contacting *** and all we get is "the person in charge needs to handle this" with no effort made to try to resolve this issue. So in other words this place is horribly managed! We will not be using their services anymore from here on out! We recommend others do the same. Providing false charges and threatening to charge our card nearly 2 months later after never getting a call back or attempting to reverse these charges is just a bad business, which is probably weedman's motto. In addition to false charges for no service there was a period of 2 months where no contact or service was made. We had to bring it to their attention that our weeds were overgrown instead or them monitoring this. A very unreliable service.

With-in three months of using Weedman, we experienced payment issues (did not charge the price agreed on, tried charging more), the company tried "servicing" our lawn more then mentioned. In other words, trying to get more money out of their customer. On our second application, their "technician" applied the wrong treatment and made most of our yard brown. In fact, I was told he did the same to other yards and some were considering litigation. I will give the company credit...they attempted to fix the situation and correct the mistake. For the most part some of the lawn was recovered. This was a year ago (2019), currently, we have a section on our Zoysia grass permanently damaged/ruined. I called to address the problem. I was told a "senior manager" technician will come to the property...never showed. The company's priorities is another issue. They are focused on selling and making money...regardless the cost. I had several representatives text and call me...selling products. They would start at one price and negotiate until the sale is complete. Customer beware! This company does not put their customer first. This company will sell everything and anything. This company, according to their technicians...does not use the correct product which will do harm to your lawn. Lesson learned...moving on to a company with better values and professionalism! I hired this company to rid my lawn of weeds

I hired this company to rid my lawn of weeds. I paid for the service upfront. After the first application, an entire part of my lawn died. I called and spoke to a manager who said he would take care of the problem. I called again since nothing happened and again was told it would be remedied. Multiple times I was promised that some one was on their way, but nothing happened. I stopped the service, but was told that I had not stopped with the correct department that I should call a certain phone number, but the number is never answered and you cannot leave a message. No one has come to remedy the problem, however, they continue to treat the lawn even when I have stopped the service. They say I owe them money, I say they owe me a remedy for my damaged lawn. At this point they have a collection agency sending me letters. All of this could have been taken care of, but even though they acknowledge the problem, they are not willing to solve the problem.Usually, I receive a message from one person in the company saying that I have reached the wrong department, within hours of that text message I receive another message thanking me for getting back to them and that they will notate the account that I am declining the service. It's obvious that the Weedman organization has no intention of correcting the damage. The mistake I made was to pay the entire amount before service. It's as if you are talking to a monster with two heads, each of them saying something entirely different, but neither of them intends to respect you as a customer.

Billing for services not performed

Billing for services not performed. I would NEVER recommend Weed Man to anyone! They are not to be trusted! I signed up with their salesman in January with an agreement that the Weed Man technician would call me before coming to treat my lawn and would meet with me after the application to explain the treatment and give advice on preventive care. I explained to their salesman that in the past I had another service which billed me for applications that were never applied he assured me this would never happen and that's why the would call before coming and meet with me after the application. I was still somewhat hesitant so the salesman called the office manager who also assured me they would call and meet with me after the application. The manager went as far to say someone from Weed Man would call prior to coming out if he had to do it himself! Needless to say this was all a lie, no one ever called or met with me on what they said was there first treatment. I was home all day and never seen anyone from Weed Man treat my lawn then I received a statement of account #ATLAN-XXXXXXX for services in January and February. No one from Weed Man ever came and applied any applications, my wife works from her home office 8am to 6pm and no one ever came. On 2/26 I called Weed Man only to get two disconnected numbers and one voicemail, which I left a message cancelling my service and complaining about the service and false agreements made by their salesperson and manager. Their sales person Terence, texted me on 3/5 asking why I cancelled my services when I explained the reason, which he knew, his response was "O ok well I apologize for that". Rip off! I never seen any applications and do not feel I should be billed for payment.

Weed Man response

Mar 11, 20231:43 am EST

Business Response Good afternoon, From our end I am able to see that we did complete services on 1/25 and 2/25. We would be happy to provide receipt of the day, time and length of visit as all of our trucks are equipped with GPS trackers and cameras. I apologize that there was a miscommunication and that the service was not performed to your satisfaction. However, services were completed so the remaining balance of $75.48 still stands. If you have any further questions or concerns, please email me at ***@weedmanroswell.com. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I would like a copy of the documents forward to me for review which shows the receipt of the day, time and length of visit along with camera views to support their claim. Business Response ***, We were unable to pull footage from our trucks as data can only be stored for a few weeks. Since this issue occurred a while back, we have remedied the situation by writing off the balance of $69 plus the late charges previously owed on your account. Your balance is now at $0.00. We apologize for any frustration or inconvenience. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to give us a call at XXX-XXX-XXXX or email ***@weedmanroswell.com. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Fair

Weedman provided us with lawn and mosquito services

Weedman provided us with lawn and mosquito services. We cancelled the mosquito service in Aug 2020. In Dec 2020, our home burned down. In May , the employee spraying for mosquitos called to ask if we wanted him to spray since the home was not inhabited. Since the service has been cancelled I called the company and checked bank records only to determined I had been fraudulently charged for these services previously canceled. I was going to cancel all services since the lawn chemicals werent working either and the lawn was taken over by weeds. Their employee, ***, promised they could save the yard and said they would provide two months of services for free and refund the mosquito control charges since she could see that it had been cancelled the prior year. A couple months later, I was still charged for all services, the yard was still not cared for and their team leader had not shown up as promised and the mosquito services were still being charged. I called, they promised resolution. I took my credit card off file with them because they were continuing to over charge me. After multiple calls, and long hold times to get anyone on the phone, They refunded some but not all the fraudulent account charges. I called them back again to cancel. They owed me $200 - they had charges of $129 that were owed to them but they owed me the credit. I told them, I was done with their awful services and false charges to my account. They could offset the $200 and keep the difference. Since then, they sent me to collections, Ive called and explained multiple times, provided excel spreadsheets. They acknowledge and say they will fix it. Then they sent it to my credit. Now I have a *** against my credit score (which is otherwise perfect). They never respond. I feel like there is nothing I can do and they have falsely charged my account.

I have been a customer of *** during the 2021 year

I have been a customer of *** during the 2021 year. We prepaid services for the year. Weed Man has provided the routine services for fertilization of the grass. I believe the prepaid services were to include aeration of the lawn, which has never been performed (I don't really care about this). We asked Weed Man to provide an Insect treatement for Army Worms (Sep), which they did perform. We also asked for an Organic Soil Treatment (once), which they did perform. I paid this *** (they claim never received). I cancelled payment and resent (it is still on my billing months later). I was approached by a Weed Man sales person stating I have issues with disease in the grass (right after I mowed the lawn (October'ish). We have no disease and I pointed it out to him. He agreed it was the fresh cut lawn that made him think it was disease. He even asked if they could take pictures of the lawn for their website. Then, I get a new *** showing Disease Control for $74. I then received an email notification (a bit later) stating that we have have disease in our trees and need treatment. We do not have trees in our yard. I then receive email notification that we have grubs in our yard and need treatment. We do not have grubs in our yard. I have called, emailed, text messaged countless times about the billing and predatory recommendation practices. I requested the service be terminated in email and recieved a reply that stated they cannot cancel my service and I need to call. I have requested a manager call me back on too many occasions to count. Not one time has anyone ever called me back. I have neighbors who had Weed Man service and have cancelled it due to the predatory nature of their services and lack of customer service when there is a problem. I have also read the 70 compliants here at the Complaintsboard.com, which all point to these same problems I have listed.

Upon reviewing your account and the call from 9/1 with our representative Shaye, you did agree to the 2 disease and insect treatments which are the same as the army worm treatments. The call has been attached for your reference via email. Due to this we are not able to remove the $74 charge from your account.

I cancelled weed control services with this company months ago in July after they came out and aerated the wrong lawn

I cancelled weed control services with this company months ago in July after they came out and aerated the wrong lawn. I did so in writing on SEVERAL occasions to the email address on their invoices and to the email address on their voicemail. The voicemail which varies in their reason for "extremely high call volume" instructs you to contact them via email. The current recording states, "All calls are monitored and recorded for quality control purposes. Due to unforeseen challenges, our call volume is extremely high and the call back return time can be higher than normal. We appreciate your patience during this time." Then the recording goes on to say to contact ***@weedmanusa.com or text at 678/XXX-XXXX which I did. I received a reply stating I reached the wrong department. I also pressed 1 for existing customers and after several automated recordings received an option to press for a call back which I did. The previous recording stated to contact them via email because they were experiencing extremely high call volume due to army worm infestations, etc. My initial cancellation was in an email thread complaining about the wrong lawn being aerated but as soon as I said I wanted to cancel the service they refused to continue to communicate via email and said I need to call which I did with the same result described above. They are rude, unresponsive, and are now billing me for services they did not perform. I paid the one performed on the wrong lawn because I had my account set up on autopay which I cancelled after notifying them that we no longer wanted to use their services. Since then I have gotten bills for two service dates that were not performed. The latest was billed on October 18 for October 11 services. I emailed them on October 11 after one of their employees showed up at my house and my husband sent him away as soon as he pulled in the driveway and did NO service and did not even come near the lawn. He was extremely rude.

In short, they killed our beautiful yard

In short, they killed our beautiful yard...they've blamed it on everything from too much thatch, mowed it too close last fall, now, too wet of winter we brought the issue with our yard to there attension around April 1st when our yard appeared to have died, not coming out of dormancy. They came out and supposedly took soil samples, which we still haven't seen. I have pictures/videos and texts and emails to several of their workers and supervisors. they blamed the issues on everything except that one or mopre of their techs over applied chemicals killing our yard. Several times after they'd come out to treat weed areas, then a problem would crop up and another tech would come out an apply chemicals again. I've requested the treatment logs/dates and tech's names which I haven't gotten yet. I met with one of the big wigs in the company a couple weeks ago on site, we also had one of their techs from another branch to come out to "treat" our yard, with no knowldge of our issues. He asked my wife "who killed your yard" my wife said ya'll did. when Wes came out I explained our dissatifaction with the remedies they tried to revive our yard, with about 20% success on producing very thin grass in areas. Wes told me the roots of bermuda grass grow very deep roots, 1-2 feet deep, I have samples of "grass" and turf where the roots are less then an inch deep. They killed our yard. I also had 3 different people with Turf degrees come out for an assesment of damages, all 3 said it appeared to be over application of chemicals. The last visit Wes came I told him we'd be taking legal action to recoup the cost of new sod. we had new sod installed last thursday and friday to the tune of over 5000.00. we are filling legal papers to try and make them pay for their mistake. they basically said it was our fault, and they had no obligation to remedy our dead lawn. Its not fair, they basically said go Fk yourself I'd be more then happy to share all our corespondance/ pics/videos to proof that they killed our lawn

Weed Man response

Mar 04, 20236:28 am EST

Business Response We have discussed this with the customer. Unfortunately we could not come to an agreement on this. We stand by the fact that nothing we apply can cause a lawn to die and the issues on this lawn. We did check many other properties done by the same tech on the same day, and none of them have any issues. We feel the issues on this lawn were caused by mowing the grass down very short in October or November after it had gotten tall, coupled with winter damage. Which was our diagnosis. Grass allowed to be too long going into dormancy thinning the areas closest to the soil. They scalped it going into a very wet and nasty winter causing damage to the plant down at least 2 inches. The plant was not dead, just stunned and having to grow from 2 inches below the soil to create new vegetation on top. The lawn would have greened up, but would have taken longer than the customer wanted to allow.

Mislead me about an issue which did not exist

Mislead me about an issue which did not exist. Once verified authorization to treat was revoked, yet they claim they treated without my knowledge. As all correspondence by this company is by text, it's difficult to retrieve my side of the conversation. Just after starting weed treatment with this company - first application (end of September/beginning October), I received a text from them claiming that my lawn had a Cinch bug infestation. They even sent me what appeared to be a photo of the insect on a blade of grass. (I later learned it was a random photo from the internet and NOT taken from my yard.) Not knowing any different, I authorized 2 treatments; however, in the interim, I did my research on the insect. All tests showed I DID NOT have any Cinch bugs. I texted for someone to all me and reported this information back; however, no one called. I seem to recall all communication was via text. I recall being informed that it was too late to cancel treatment as the technician was scheduled for my home the next day and that I needed to talk with that person. Technician arrived. We had a conversation in which I looped him in on what was occurring. He verified that he was unable to see any Cinch bug issues; therefore NO TREATMENT WAS PERFORMED. He told me he would make a report and that I should have no further issues. From my perspective, all had been handled and I took this exchanged as verification that my authorization (along with texts communications) had been revoked. Come November 12, I received a text indicating my account was past due consisting of two insect treatments totaling $144.50. I do not owe this and was unaware of any insect treatment occurring since authorization was revoked as referenced above. It is impossible to communicate with any live person at this company. Of the two people I've been able to get on the phone, neither had autonomy to help and said they would try to get someone to call me back. Of the one person who called, she asked me what was going on and then said there is nothing she can do other than request an investigation. On 11/18 I did receive an email from an individual who sent me copy of the original texts of my authorization of the two treatments; however, conveniently, all other communications are missing. Of course my request to speak with with person of have them call me were denied. I've never dealt with any company like this and am feeling quite frustrated for a resolution.

Weed Man response

Feb 28, 202310:32 pm EST

Business Response We have looked into this situation and we see that you are no longer a customer. We had an agreement that we would remove the two disease applications if you allowed us to continue basic service on your lawn. Our records show that you cancelled recently, therefore we are unable to take off the charges for the disease applications. Please feel free to give us a call at XXX-XXX-XXXX if you would like to discuss this further. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The statement from this company in response to the complaint is a misrepresentation of facts. Not surprising from this company. Just another tasteless and bullying effort to defraud the consumer and extort money. All one has to do is research this company on the internet (which I unfortunately did not) and see the lengthy lists of similar complaints from people victimized just like me. My advice to anyone who is considering this company, do your research to avoid becoming just another victim. From reviews seen online by former employees, they seem to validate this company has a culture for unprofessional and unethical upselling tactics.

On Nov 30, 20 Field salesperson Raff was in our neighborhood

On Nov 30, 20 Field salesperson Raff was in our neighborhood. After seeing our yard and advising they could help, he told us that Weed man was running a start up special for $48.00. This included Fertilization, weed control, aeration and seeding. He advised he would be doing our yard. He then called the office to schedule a time. He walked away while talking to someone. After he returned, he advised they had a better price of $23.50 for Dec and then January it was going to be another 23.50. After thinking this was a decent price, the designated work we spoke of was then scheduled for Wednesday Dec 2, 2020. While on the phone with the young lady, she asked if I needed a reminder call. After I said no, being skeptical about the price, I asked the representative to forward to me; the information that was emailed to my husband. Once reviewed, the invoice only indicated Prepost weed control for $48.00. Since that was not what was discussed, I called them back and asked them to cancel until the invoice was corrected. The young lady said she would investigate the matter and call back to reschedule. We did not get a call back. Without a call back or notification, a person showed up not Wednesday, but Thursday, December 3rd. My husband saw him outside but didn't see him doing anything but getting back in his truck and leaving. No work or appearance of work was done. We later received an invoice stating work was done. Since we didn't have any grass and there was no visual evidence of any work being done, we spoke the salesman's manager Jason. He advised there should have been some evidence of the work that was completed. After advising him there was none, he advised not to worry about it. Jason also advised that it was too cold to do any aeration or seeding at this time anyway. After that, for no work shown to be done at all, we continued to receive harassing emails from Adrian Wazlavek on 12/9, asking why we canceled after 1 visit. On 1/6 we received an email for portions of payment due. Then on 1/8 we received another email from Adrian regarding the matter. While they disputed the phone call recording did not have me requesting the service be canceled, they did not play the whole phone call. For their purposes, the call was cut to fit their recording parameters. We are disputing payment and service for the following reasons: No one called us to reschedule anything We did not give permission to anyone from Weedman to come back on our property to do any work (No work was done) Fertilization/weed control, aeration and seeding were not completed.

Weed Man response

Feb 27, 202310:55 am EST

Business Response Upon reviewing the account and the call from 12/2, we did not hear you ask to cancel the service with Caitlyn. We attached the recording for your reference which includes the entire phone call. We have never nor will we manipulate recordings or trim them to fit our point of view. The recording you received is the entire conversation we have on file. According to this, Caitlyn did tell you you were off the schedule for 12/2, but we see it did get rescheduled for 12/3 at the same price quoted in the recording that Adrian sent in the previous email. We will remove your information from our database but the charge still stands. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) We did not talk to anyone to reschedule service because what was on the invoice was not what the sale person promised they just showed up got out of his truck and got back in my husband works from home. Nothing was done we will not pay for something that wasn't done. The property was suppose to be over seeded fertilized weed control and aerated. They are threating to put it on my husbands credit why? This company should be closed down it scams people. Business Response This customer was quoted $23.50 for the first application. We made an error charging full price initially, but we have since changed this and honored the original quote of $23.50 for the 1st application. Our records show that the technician did in fact arrive at the property on 12/3 to complete the application. We also have no record of this customer requesting an aeration or over-seeding. They had only signed on for our basic service which consists of fertilizer and weed control. This customer has since cancelled service but the charge still stands as we did complete service and are still honoring the price quoted originally. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) We would like to talk to a manager or a supervisor, because the customer service people don't have a clue. Why would we pay a bill if no service was done. We would like to hear all recordings of the conversation and have the manager tell us we have to pay for a service that was never done. It's not going to happen. If the better business doesn't help we will go higher to get this rectified I have a feeling we are not the only ones who is going through this. They are trying to scam people!

Ruined my grass but didn't get rid of my weeds

Ruined my grass but didn't get rid of my weeds. Horrible customer service. Started using the company last fall. Immediately after agreeing to employ them, on the next visit they unsold us to get a aeration and reseeding we weren't alerted was a requirement for our type of grass until after they had taken our original payment. The information beforehand would have been nice. In March 70% of our year was still weeds so i started calling to try and get a manager out. Took 6 weeks of me calling twice a week to get a manager to call me back. Corona was just happening so i tried to be patient. When they did come out they said they would fix it and gave me a technician who specialized in my type of grass. He quit and no one told me but they kept trying to send technicians out even though i stated i was only spoke to work with him. Would give me a courtesy call before every visit even though i asked them to stop calling me because Tyler was the only one authorized by the first manager to do my yard. Every courtesy call i would call and try to cancel the visit with the non approved tech. I always waited on hold a minimum of 10ish minutes so i stopped doing it. They sent many technicians who were unfamiliar with my yard. They ended up killing off the weeds just in time for Bermuda to take over my fescue yard. NO ONE WARNED ME NOT TO KILL WEEDS DURING BERMUDA GROWING SEASON. Both my neighbors have Bermuda and it is an invasive grass. No one warned me of this either. I have been trying to get this resolved by a manager since March. Now my yard is mostly Bermuda, a small amount of fescue, and weeds. When talking to the business i was told their was no other manager who could help me so i took the final step of pretending to apply for a job so i could speak to someone in their corporate office to fix. I stopped paying them in March while they "attempted to fix" the mess they made. After talking to Shawn today (a manager the very nice customer service lady gave me) he has let me know they are firing me because i didn't kill my entire yard with round up in enough time to let the fescue grow (no one told me that was time sensitive plus why am i having to kill a problem they created). Their customer service is horrible. Nearly every tech that came out said they couldn't fix the problem no matter what yet i kept trying to work with management to do the right thing. The managers kept saying it was possible even though the techs said it was impossible. I tried for 9 months to let them make this right and instead they fired me for having expectations they couldn't meet. All i wanted was my green all year fescue yard to not have weeds. Now i have a mostly Bermuda yard with weeds. I want a refund for everything I've ever paid them to try and pay the next company to fix my yard or i want them to fix my yard for free. So far my options are to keep it looking horrible until spring when i can kill the Bermuda and reseed the fescue at my own expense (probably around $800 from my estimates and up to two years for it to get back to how it was before they started treating it according to one manager or pay $8,000 to $10,000 to have it sodded with a different grass to have it immediately better.) i am floored at the lack of customer care and honestly don't even know what to say. It's astonishing how bad their service is.

Weed Man response

Feb 26, 202311:24 am EST

Business Response ***, we apologize that you had a negative experience with us. We have cleared all charges on your account and have removed your information from our database. Consumer Response It has not been addressed at all. Please reopen and help me get some resolution from this business. Business Response Per our records, the customer had concerns with Bermuda grass that had ended up in her Fescue and she had accused us of putting in there. Per the conversation she had with our QC Manager on 8/03, he had informed her of how Bermuda grass does end up in Fescue and that it is not something we are even capable of doing. He explained that Bermuda can be transferred via a neighboring yard or even through mower blades. He also informed her we could do 3 things. One was to treat it as mixed grass types and deal with Bermuda as it is the preferred and most common grass in the area and will always end up choking out Fescue. Two was to kill off Bermuda yourselves with roundup as we do not use roundup and only use selective herbicides. Then once killed off we can do a fall aeration and overseeding. Third was ditch the Fescue and go for Zoysia which is shade tolerant and would be a solid value. Of the three options, the 2nd was recommended by the QC manager in terms of cost effectiveness. On 11/23 we received a phone call where she was very upset and threatening to call the Complaintsboard.com if we didn't replace her lawn with sod due to Bermuda in the lawn. This is where I called on 11/25 and spoke to her. I explained what the QC manager had explained and she acknowledged she spoke to him and still felt it was our fault for having Bermuda in her lawn and that it was our responsibility to replace it. I explained that if she wanted to have the Bermuda gone then she should have followed the recommendations that we gave her so when we did the fall aeration and overseeding it could fill in. It was at this time we decided that it was best to part ways and find a company that she feels will meet her needs. For the year of 2020 this customer received free service from March all the way through October including a free fall aeration and overseeding. We do not feel it is our responsibility to replace the lawn when we did not put Bermuda grass in her fescue lawn, as well as her not following the recommendations that we had provided which would have corrected the problem. Best Regards.
